Traveling is a love of mine and I try never to leave town without my sketchbook.  If I happen to find myself without a pad of paper, I'll go and buy one, which is what I had to do on my first trip to France.  I still have my canvas backpack and leather bound sketchbook that I bought at Nature et Decouvertes in Paris back in 2004. Here are a few of my drawings from that book. It’s always fun to look back on older sketches and be brought back to that time and place. As I was sketching this, some Japanese tourists started taking photos of me, back in the day when we used actual cameras, (I know, some of you still do!). It was so sweet, and I was flattered. Nice people. The world is such a fun place when you get out and explore! Insider tip, when traveling to another country, make an effort to learn some of their language, it opens up all kind of doors, and experiences, and you will be amazed at how awesome your trip will be! And you may even make a few new friends.
